4 Qualities Every Member on Our Team Has
Have Questions? We Have Answers!
Consult our FAQs below.
- What insurances do you accept?
We accept all dental insurances (except Medicaid) and will file claims on your behalf.
- I have dental insurance. Wouldn't I be better off going to an in-network dentist?
Insurance can be confusing for many people. First and foremost, it’s important to know that in most cases, there is not much difference in the benefits you receive seeing an out-of-network provider versus and in-network one.
We have been approached several times by insurance companies asking us to become in-network providers. We investigated and found that if we agreed to become in-network, we could no longer offer you the quality of care we now provide and feel you deserve. We would have to see more patients per day as well as cut the quality of material we now use. We believe that quality and thoroughness of treatment could be compromised if we put an insurance company in the position of determining the care you receive. That’s a decision for you to make, and we’re here to give you all the information you need to make it.
Come in and see us. We will always estimate your out-of-pocket expense and file your insurance claim on your behalf.
- Will I get a cleaning at my first appointment?
Typically, yes. For your first appointment, you will get a cleaning and a thorough comprehensive exam with our Simpsonville dental team. If you’re experiencing an emergency, we’ll get you in as soon as possible and will deal with the issue first. After that, we’ll work on a time to get you in for a cleaning.
- Do you see children?
Yes, we do! We love seeing patients of all ages, so bring your little ones in and we’ll ensure their dental visit is a positive experience.
- What do you mean by “Complete Dental Care?"
We do everything from preventative dental care and family dentistry to complex restorative or cosmetic dentistry. Not all dental offices the desire or technology needed to handle more complex cases. While every patient’s case is different and we evaluate and we evaluate each one on a case-by-case basis, we will only send you to a specialist if we believe your case would be better served by one. At Simpsonville Dental Associates, you’ll get thorough, high-quality care — often without all the handoffs and extra appointments.
- How often should I visit the dentist?
We recommend seeing our dentists in Simpsonville, SC every six months. If you’re at a greater risk for oral cancer or gum disease, we may ask to see you more than twice a year. Talk to either Dr. Alexander or Dr. Godwin to learn their best recommendations.
